about

This mesmerising track holds such a story in its creation. Mamboi loves to play Mbalax rhythms but Ed struggles to keep the timing right much to the amusement of Gambian musicians. But then it turned out that the resulting fusion of styles creates something new altogether. Alasana Fall lays a heavy dub baseline and Daouda Camara adds his unique Afro-Madinka electric guitar licks. On drums Seth Tuffnell brings his own flavour to the tune recorded back at GTM studios in the UK and something very Njahass is born.
